Each week we have a vocational speaker come and talk with the students about what a day looks like in the life of the profession. We have heard from a Caterpillar Machine Designer & Mechanic, Administrative Assistant, Elementary School Principal, Physical Therapist, Police Chief, Fire Chief, Military Chaplain Assistant, and Parks and Recreation Director. It has been such
a blessing for the students to hear from a variety of people and learn about some of the possibilities for their futures. Thank you speakers for sharing!
A significant goal for the high school is to encourage the students to share their faith. One of the ways they do that is through leading chapels and faith events for the local elementary schools. It has been such a great learning experience to figure out what they think has been successful and what we should work on for next time as a group.
Homecoming Week In Review
Our week consisted of fun dress up days, special snacks, and our homecoming game followed by a bonfire. It was a great week to show some school spirit!
We had our first field trip at the Patriot Newspaper today. We learned how much work goes into creating a newspaper each week. We were also able to have our first chapel outdoors. It was a beautiful day to learn and create memories!
Today we went to Beck's Greenhouse and Vegetable stand in search of fresh produce. For Total Fitness, the challenge was to spend under $15 per group of 3 to find a healthy snack. They did a great job and created some delicious snacks!
